Had a quick phone call with a reporter from the CSI newspaper "The Tower". He's doing an article on Demo Freex. Be on the lookout for it. and if someone could snag me a copy I'll appreciate it. Thanks.

Magic Valley Gymnastics

Got a call on Friday from Magic Valley Gymnastics ..
they are planning on at least one team of their own "Freex" and they offered to share mats for the event.

Banners for the Mall

Adrian at Advantage Signs has the banners all ready for the mall. I'm not sure how soon the mall will have them displayed but it ought to be pretty soon. Thanks Adrian. Everyone else ... go check them out they're "wicked"

Foundation Acceptance

Demo Freex is now an official "sponsor" for Danny Marona's performing arts scholarship foundation. The Board voted not only to lend their support in the fundraising efforts but also decided that "performance martial arts" aka Demo Freex aka XMA is an eligible art form to compete for their scholarships.

Public Service Announcments

The First PSA for Demo Freex is complete (Thanks Glen @ One World Media) and I dropped it off at KMVT, Cable One, Fox, and KTFT today .. Hopefully they'll be on-air by the end of the week. (fingers crossed)

Mayor Confirmed

Our very own Mayor Lance Clow has officially confirmed he will be one of our celebrity judges.

More Media Mania

KEZJ is working on PSA's for their group and
KMVT has given us a tentative OK for PSA's as well.
With Luck those may be ready to air early next week.

Media Mania

Talked to Mark at Cable One and he has promised me PSA'a (tv ads) as soon as we create an ad for him.

Talked to Glen at One World Media and he is creating those ads as we speak.

Talked to Jerre Fender at Locally Owned Radio and he's getting the ball rolling for PSA's (radio ads) and posting us on his calendars as well as doing some "on air" promotion as well.

I've posted to all the local media "event calendars"

I am set up for the next Board meeting for Danny Marona's Foundation to make the next steps with them.

I will also be talking to the people form KEZJ and their group this afternoon.

Still working on stage, sound and lighting ... Help ?

We need prizes ... anyone who is involved in business ... who has some items to donate ... that might help them generate future business ... get them in touch with me ... I'd love to include them in this opportunity for everyone to benefit.

Danny Marona

Had Lunch with Mister Marona (Really Nice Guy) He has given me tentative permission to support his foundation and put us on the agenda for the next foundation board meeting.

We also talked about The Demo Freex being additional entertainment at some of Mister Marona's future events. Nothing for sure but it's all moving in the right direction.

Also: We need sound, Lights, and stage ... any ideas, contacts or connections will be appreciated.

Oh ya: If anybody has friends at the radio stations .. .. .. sure would be cool to get them involved.

Talked With The Mayor Lance Clow and he is checking his schedule ... I should know by the end of the week if he'll be one of our Celebrity Judges.

Talked with Danny Marona and it sounds like Demo Freex will also be a Fund-Raiser event for Danny's performing arts scholarship ..having lunch with Danny on Friday.

I just got off the phone with the mall and we'll be hosting the final competition there on Saturday January 17th ...

Date: Saturday, January ?? .. not sure yet .. but probably middle of January .. for the Contest .. Tryout's will probably be early december ..so you have time to practice.

How Much? registration shouldn't be more than $10 per entry ... and all the funds will go to charity .. I'm still working on which one.

(I'll fill in these blanks as I get it all figured out)

Registration: Get your registration form at Success Martial Arts (or I can e-mail it to you), 1300 Kimberly Rd and get it turned in by __ / __ . If you are under 18 we need a parents signature. The First tryout will be __ / __ and then the top __ will get to compete at the Mall.

You can go it alone or put together a team. You can use props, costumes, even martial arts weapons if you want, and music. Be creative; take some chances; it’ll make a great show.

We’re going to have some "Pro's" from Sacramento to help our local Celebrity Judges pick the winners.
